Westbahnhof Railway Station Vienna

The Westbahnhof Railway Station Vienna was opened in 1858 and extended from 1910 to 1912. The railway station was totally destroyed during the second world war, and completely removed in 1949. The new Westbahnhof was opened in 1952. The railway station is the starting point for rail journeys to St. Pölten, Linz, Wels, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Vorarlberg, Germany, Switzerland, France, Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium.

The bus traffic from the Westbahnhof to Südbahnhof and further to the airport goes every 30 minutes from the front of the Westbahnhof.
